Earrings Collection
Artissimo Earrings collection
In ancient times an earring was a predominantly male ornament. They were popular even 7000 years ago in ancient Asia. Egyptians and Assyrians used them to signify the fact that they belong to a higher class. Today different types of earrings are used by ladies with the purpose of correcting and complementing the shape of their face.
Ornaments decorating the ears have been one of the principal forms of jewellery throughout recorded history. The wearing of earrings today is primarily ornamental and helps to “tie an outfit together” by using colours that match or contrast with the overall ensemble.
The metals, primarily gold or silver, are complementary to the necklaces, bracelets, rings, watches and pins the wearer selects as accessories. They are also an expression of one’s personal taste in art.
